NOTES FROM THE YARD

Lhe FREYDIS 50’ Racing s the “cruiser racer” version of the Freydis 46’ Croiseur catamaran, renowned for its excellent performance and designed at our request and according to our specifications by naval architect Erik Lerouge.

The FREYDIS 50’ Racing  differs from the Freydis 46’ Cruiser by deep carbon daggerboards to improve upwind heading and reduce downwind drag.

The deep elliptical rudders on titanium stock provide good control and a smooth, precise helm.

Made by TOURNIER MARINE, the rotating mast is made of carbon with Kevlar guying.

Drifter, gennaker and spinnaker at the head will allow you to get the most out of the boat. The staysail will be appreciated in the breeze.

The high-end fittings allow you to use this powerful rig perfectly.

To overcome weight problems, most of the fittings are made of sandwich panels.

In June 2003, during the “Saguenay-Saint-Pierre-Vendée”

first race reserved for 50’

FREYDIS 50’ Racing finished second overall after brilliantly winning the first stage.

In June 2004, participating in THE TRANSAT (Plymouth-Boston) among the racing multihulls, the FREYDIS 50’ Racing won the 3ème podium place in the 50’ category

In August 2005, the FREYDIS 50’ Racing was ranked 2ndème place at the Lorient Multihull Trophy

During the 2005 Transat Jacques Vabre, the FREYDIS 50’ Racing finished 2ndème from the 50’ Multihull category…..
